ストックマンのトルソーが昔から好きでした。1867年創業、パリのトルソーメーカー。服をつくるための道具です。
これをNIBE LEATHER®で作ったら面白いのではないか。始まりはそれだけです。言いたいことがあったわけではありません。
廃棄される原皮の部位から生まれた革で、服を生み出すための道具を包む。革の裏側の繊維も、縫い目も隠さずに仕上げました。
2017年1月、フィレンツェの Pitti Uomo 91 で発表。Stockman社とのコラボレーション作品です。
I have always liked Stockman dress forms. A Paris mannequin maker founded in 1867. A tool for making clothes.
It might be interesting to make one in NIBE LEATHER®. That was the whole of it. There was nothing I wanted to say.
Leather born from the parts of the hide that are discarded, wrapped around a tool for bringing clothes into being. The fibres on the reverse of the leather and the seams were left in view.
Presented at Pitti Uomo 91 in Florence, January 2017. A collaboration with Stockman.
